Mission

Empowering women and families to thrive.

NOMAD Community Services empowers women and families through leadership education, advocacy, support services, community engagement, and economic opportunities.

Vision

Inclusive, resilient communities for all.

We envision inclusive, resilient communities where newcomer women, youth, seniors, and families have equal access to the opportunities, resources, and support systems needed to succeed.

Our story

From six chairs to a movement.

NOMAD began with simple community gatherings where women came together to connect and support one another. Over time, these gatherings grew into programs shaped by real needs — from employment support to youth mentorship and health education.

Our work continues to evolve by listening to the community and creating opportunities that reflect their realities.

Our core values

The principles guiding every step we take.

Our Core Values guide everything we do — from how we support individuals to how we build strong, connected communities.

01

Empowerment

Supporting individuals to build independence and confidence.

02

Community

Creating strong, connected, and supportive environments.

03

Respect & Inclusion

Honoring diverse cultures, experiences, and identities.

04

Opportunity

Creating pathways to growth, employment, and stability.

05

Collaboration

Working together to create meaningful change.

We believe that in order to create a just and sustainable society, women and girls must have opportunities, unlimited by gender, to develop and use their individual talents, abilities, and skills — along with the freedom to make their own decisions, guided by their personal values and beliefs.
