Who We Are
We are a non-profit dedicated community empowering organization operating in Brampton City and the city of Toronto in Canada. Founded in 2016, we believe that every newcomer in Canada has the right to live a fulfilling and dignified life, free from discrimination and inequality.
Our aim is to improve the well-being of asylum seekers and their families, with respect for their rights and dignity.
Our Mission is to facilitate the settlement and integration of asylum seekers in Ontario province of Canada.
Key Thematic Areas:
- Promoting social inclusion and integration for all newcomers and asylum seekers in Ontario Province of Canada.
- Facilitate Asylum seekers with information and support to obtain relevant documents to legally stay and work in Canada.
- Arrange housing and shelters for the new comers in Canada.
- Assist newcomers with legal guidance on filing their refugee claims and finding legal representation for their claims.
- Assisting new comers on health related interventions such as guidance and counselling, obtaining health insurance and other matters related to their well-being.
- Awareness and capacity building on internal and external complimentary and resources available for the newcomers.
- Community support through food banks and donations.
- Recognizing outstanding members of community who have exemplary discharge their volunteering work in a manner that positively impacted on lives.
Nomad Community Services undertakes activities through the following pillars:
- Social functioning assessment;
- Assessment of needs and risk factors screening;
- Evaluation of eligibility to temporary shelter and transportation;
- Information on immigration, settlement and integration processes;
- Guidance to internal or external complementary resources;
- Wellbeing assessment for resettled refugees living on the Ontario

We believe that a just and sustainable society can only be achieved when newcomers have equal opportunities to develop and use their talents, abilities, and skills and are free to make their own decisions based on their values and beliefs without the constraints of gender bias.
